Our Turnberry Simulated shoot is strategically positioned on the fabulous Cassillis & Culzean Estate along the scenic Ayrshire coastline, offering a diverse selection of drives across 10,000 acres of stunning grounds served up with superb hospitality.
We take pride in establishing this location as one of the most picturesque venues for a simulated shoot in the country, with breath-taking views over the Turnberry Lighthouse, the Firth of Clyde, the Isle of Arran and the amazing Ailsa Craig.
Situated on Mochrum Hill, the shoot capitalises on the remarkable natural landscape, featuring our famous Grouse drive plus targets up to 65 yards that authentically replicate the experience of a high bird shoot day, including some of the most testingly tall targets that you may ever have the opportunity to shoot, on the mighty 'Mount Rushmore'.

However do not despair, ​days will be tailored to requirements and targets presented to suit the individual groups abilities.
​
All of our drives are equipped with a unique safety feature: purpose-built shooting platforms. These platforms provide a stable footing, minimise unsafe gun movement, and include side shelves for convenient access to cartridges, allowing for swift and efficient shooting.

Enjoy delicious Elevenses and refreshments in our purpose built shoot cabin, 'Camp David', which commands stunning views across Turnberry and the Firth of Clyde.

Example Itinerary:
​
9.15am:
Your day begins with a 'Meet and Greet' at the Dual in The Sun (Turnberry Clubhouse) accompanied with hot coffee and breakfast roll.
9.45am:
Guests will be taken on to 'Camp David' where you will receive a safety briefing, an explanation of the days events and be supplied with safety equipment and cartridges as required.

10.00am:
guests will be taken to the first two drive drives of the day.
​
12.00am:
Elevenses provided in the field at the fabulous 'Camp David'.
​
12.30am:
The third drive and fourth drive of the day.
​
2.00pm:
the fifth and final spectacular drive of the day.
​​
3.30pm:
Option 1: Refreshments served prior to departure
Option 2: Late lunch served at your chosen location.

Up to 12 guns can be accommodated in lines of 6, with 6 guns shooting and 6 loading then swapping over which provides great fun for everyone.
​
During the day all traps are hidden from sight and fire clay pigeons in a random patterns, speed, height and directions to replicate driven pheasants, partridges, grouse and other game birds. The natural topography of the estate lends itself ideally to provide the next best thing to a live game shoot.
